Fridge update

Last summer as I was finishing my build out my checking account was running low so I had to get a cheap fridge. That worked well enough until a couple weeks ago. This morning I had someone out to take a look and learned that I’ve got a freon leak and replacing the compressor would cost more than the price of the fridge. So, it’s time for an upgrade! Of course I still have a low balance in the checking account so I’ll have to borrow money for the first time. But lesson learned: sometimes saving money ends up costing more money in the end. And if you’re looking at fridges from Webstaurant Store, don’t bother with the Avantco brand!

I would add: at my previous job I had an equipment issue of a similar magnitude (my office computer needed replacing) and it took literal years to resolve. So even if this refrigerator problem is a bummer, at least it’s one that I’m able to directly address in a matter of days (hopefully).
